A guild?

After reading a blog post ( Link ) a friend of mine made, and talking to some friends, I have started woundering. Is there such a thing as a perfect guild?
I played Lotro for three years, and had one guild there. I got lucky, met some nice people, had alot of fun with raiding and just running around. After three years i was getting tired of Lotro though, so i moved on to Rift. Or, the plan was just to try it and then come back when new stuff came out in Lotro, but that plan changed.
I started Rift with a friend from lotro, and joined a lvling guild, The Iluminati. Had some fun there, met some new people, left and started a pvp guild called Blood Lust together with them. All that before i got to 50. After i got to 50 the guild hopping started. Joined one guild, merged with another, got kicked from the new guild, and joined Temporary. There i felt at home again, finally! we raided, had tons of fun and did most things just for lols. The leaders decided to transfer the guild to another shard though, and thats where the troubles started.. People started leaving and at the end we were just a few left.. We tried the best we could but gave up in the end, and moved shards and joined Pariah, but things there didnt work out so moved back to Bloodiron and joined Malevolence. Still there, and im liking it there, nice bunch of people, but i cant help thinking that is this the right guild for me?

What im looking for in a guild is first and foremost the social aspect. I leave the game if i don't know anyone there. Second, there is the raiding aspect, I love raiding, progressing and all that follows with that. And then comes the question, Hardcore raiding guild or social raiding guild?
Thats a really thin line in Rift at the moment. We have guilds that raid 7 days a week, but also guilds that raid 3 days a week. where do the guilds in the middle there fit in?
I prefear a social raiding guild, where you raid 3/4 days a week, for 4ish hours then have fun during the day and do things like a guild. Where everyone can log on mumble/vent/ts and just talk about random things all day. Is my expectations to big? Right now, all thats keeping me or drawing me to guilds is the possibility of doing Hammerknell.

Im hoping i find something like i found in lotro in this game aswell..

(OMG! gigant wall of text. wierd!)

Dead Grugorim! Killed inquisitor too, but forgot pictures! bring on Darktide! :D 9/11 HK

A break is needed

After a while back and forth i have decided to definatly take a break from Lotro. I was hoping that i would want to come back to the game with the new patch, and new content and new gear to get. But now i log on and just log off again.. I just cant play lotro atm. Its a bit sad to realize, but its allways gonna be my first one, and ill go back there i think, its just nice to have a break from it all sometimes. Adding some old screenshots of a few of my characters.

Lotro, im going to miss you, but im comming back <3

Stealthy

Last night i was in ettens, and i joined a raid, and this is the recipie on how to kill lots of freeps!
First you need a creep raid, then you need a freep raid and some stealthy sneaking around.
Here we are hiding in some trees trying to find the freeps. but none here...

Hiding behind a gigantic spider sounded like a good idea..

But we decided to run around and try to find them in other places.

And suddenly! i see them! Chaaaaaarge!!!!

and on a side note, there is sutch things as a perfect li :O

Hunter getting buffed?

Yesterday we got a new Dev diary from the lotro gang, and its all about the hunter, and new changes thats comming.

                                                           Bow Master trait line (Red):
This trait line is all about Strength Stance (SS) witch i hardly use annymore. The stance is all about the DPS and threat and have a high power consumation. What they are going to do with it is change the damage bonus, threat and power consumation on it, witch i think is a good ting. And they are going to change Heartseeker (HS) from a useless skill to a kinda usefull one. They are lowering the cooldown and induction it have (witch is about time!), and they are lowering the damage it gives, witch is altso good since they are trying to make HS more user friendly. They are changing some of the traits too, witch im gonna copy-paste. And i think its looking good. I know im gonna try traiting all reds for once and see if it is anny good.
  • Shot Through the Heart: The critical hit bonus has been removed. Instead, the trait will make Heart Seeker remove the Barbed Arrow bleed on a foe and deal additional damage (like Scourging Blow).
  • Swift and True: Adds additional damage to the 3rd attack of Improved Swift Bow.
  • Deadly Precision: Moved to Huntsman line, in favor of Fast Draw.
  • Fast Draw: Added to Bow Master Line.
  • Cool Burn: Burn Hot now reduces bow skill Power cost by 80% for the duration. Cooldown reduced to 2 minutes. Damage bonus is now +20%, bringing the total damage to +40%.
  • Quality of Mercy: Renamed to Swift Mercy. Each usage of Swift Bow reduces the focus cost of the next Merciful Shot by 1, can stack up to 6 times.
  • Barbed Fury: No longer increases the duration of Barbed Arrow. Instead, increases the damage of each pulse.
I think that these are good changes, it gives the use of SS some more, and maybe even its going to be good to use in raids and in groups compared to only solo.

                                                                   Huntsman (Blue):
This is the one im mostly using right now, im allways 4 blue 3 reds no matter what i do. And im liking it, since its the Presision Stance (PS) and we now have the +dmg on our mele weapons that give us a good dmg boost when using it.
What they are doing to this trait line is changing Fleet stance (FS) and trying to make it usefull, since most hunters i know think that this is the most awfull skill they could have given us. Its explained as:
Fleet Stance: Renamed to Fleetness. No longer a stance, now a 15 second buff. Costs 6 Focus. Removes Focus loss on movement and reduces miss chance while moving by 60%. Increases move speed by 10%. Power cost increased.
I must say, its looking better. I like that they removed it as a stance, since i dont know 1 hunter that uses it, and gave it too us as a buff instead. I think more of us are gonna try it out and actually use it now compared to before.
They are altso changing strength of the earth. That is the skill that gives us huge amounts of power back while in combat. but right now it have a long induction if you arent huntsman traited.  Now they are removing the induction for all trait lines (yay!) and power return is a bit bigger but it only lasts for 5 seconds. witch is good i guess, the skill have been kinda overpowered. but ill miss having a full power pool after completely empting it. hehe. The traits they are changing is:
Traits
  • Improved Fleet Stance: Renamed to Improved Fleetness. Adds -15% Bow Inductions. Increases duration to 30 seconds. Increases move speed to 10%.
  • Fast Draw: Moved to the Bow Master line, in favor of Deadly Precision.
  • Deadly Precision: Added to the Huntsman line
  • Bow and Blade: Repurposed into Barbed Hindrance and added to the Trapper of Foes line. All Hunters now have a secondary strike on all melee skills.
  • Deep Concentration: Added to the Hunstman line
  • Rapid Recovery: Reduces Dazing Blow cooldown by 10 seconds, reduces all other melee skills cooldowns by 2 seconds.

                                                     Trapper of Foes (Yellow):
This is the line that most hunter never use, but I think that it have a nice consept. This one is all about CC and while it gives us nice CC poibilities it takes away our damage. What they are doing to this one is reducing the damage penalty from 25% to 15%, witch is a good improvement, would like to see it completely removed or down to 5 or 10%, but this is a step in the right direction. One more of the big changes is the cure poison skill. Now its single target and you have to face the person your removing it from to remove it, wich is a bit annoying since in a huge raid you dont allways see the people and you have to keep turning and turning. With the update they are chaning it so we dont have to turn around, and if you trait 4 yellows it gives you a posibility to cure your whole fellowship. and im so happy about this! Im not happy about needing to trait 4 yellows to make it happen, but its a improvement. I have loong been wanting a fellowship posibility on the skill, and i wish that they would make it a normal trait or just make it a permanent fellowship thing, but its a improvement, and who knows if they are gonna do it in the future. they are altso changing Distraction shot, and with traiting we are going to be able to chain stun a target, and i like it.
Traits
  • Deep Concentration: Moved to the Hunstman line, in favor of Bow and Blade. Do note, that Bow and Blade is being repurposed, as listed below.
  • Bow and Blade: Added to the Trapper, and renamed Barbed Hindrance. Increases the slow effect on Barbed Arrow from 10% to 40%. Remember that only the highest slow effect on a target takes effect.
  • Explosive Arrow: Cooldown now reduced by -150 seconds, which makes Distracting Shot a 30sec cooldown for a 30sec daze.
one of the best changes is this though:
  • New Tier 5 and 6 recipes added for Wind-rider and Whisper-draw books
    • Wind-rider tier 5 and 6 do not increase Power % reduction further. They instead add +Max Power.
    • Whisper-draw tier 5 and 6 increase threat reduction and grant +Max Morale.

Im really liking these chages, and it's giving us some new posibilities when it comes to retraiting. I know im going to go more often to the bard when they come atleast. One of my hopes is that they are going to give the guardians some upgrades. Because im getting tierd of stealing the aggro from them when im not trying. Wish that they could do something about it. Im really liking the upgrade to Penetrating Shot, we can shoot it while mooving now, so in ettens i can pew the creepsies while running away. hahahaha
This was my view and opinions about it, and its a huge wall of only text, but i hope you like it!

The road goes on

Have since the last blog post done a few things. My burglar hit 50, so only 15 lvl's to go! entered moria aswell, but not too eaer to continue on, since i allways tend to get stuck inside moria. Give insta-lvl!
And we went to the Liutenant one day with the kin, and killed him smoothly. It had been a while since the last time, so was fun.
I did see a really pretty sunset too! so adding a few screenshots from around the middle earth. Hope you like them! :)

Two down!

If you want to wait and explore yourself, dont keep reading.
A friend of mine found this place and showed it to me tonight, and i must say, its looking alot like a new instance of some sort comming. A bit like the new symbols that have been popping up around, but i couldnt find anny symbol of some sort on the walls annywhere here, so not completely sure.
I really like the look of this place though, it looks all big and grand sort of. From the look of it it might hold some interesting things in the future :)
Im not going to show you how to get there, or where you have to run, since its a secret that you can find for your self ;)

This one is from the instance that Lothirieth wrote about in her post a while ago, me and a friend got inside there to have a look, and im borrowing this picture from him ;)

And heres a random picture looking over at the last bridge :)

Mysterious Happenings

Today we got some new mysterious rune-stones popping up at some places around Middle-Earth. It all started with a letter from a conserned hobbit that got posted on out forums.
The whole thing is about looking for these stones that appeared all over the place, and all the stones have diffrent meanings and they are a symbol or a sign for the 5 Gaunt lords. Or so we think. Xhii made a blog post about this and explaining her theories, and i have to say that im agreeing with her on those.
I think the stones are a sign about the new instances and raid cluster that Turbine are launching this year, so all our hopes are high.

I didnt remember to take a screenshot of the last stone sadly, as i got distracted. But when you complete this searching you complete a deed, witch gives you the title "Calm before the Storm", witch i kinda like.
I altso think this is a nice move from turbine, giving us these little signs, and things so we can wounder and imagine a bit on the new content thats hopefully comming soon.

World renowned

When we got the latest patch in Lotro, there altso followed a deed where you got a horsie and a title if you got kindred with all the factions in the game. I got that one today when i finished the reputation with the Algraig. And i must say i really like the horse! its simple but still not as all the other ones. I kinda dont like the banner though, with it would move in the wind or something like the cloak we wear or something, so its not just a "dead" object on the horse.

Update day!

Yesterday we finally got the first part of the november pach, with new rep horses and updates to LM's and RK's and some updates to the UI. and i like them all! :D next week the last part of the patch is comming with the Chistamas village! And i cant wait.  here is some pictures of two of the new horsies.  i need a bit more rep to get the bigest shiny one, but ill get it soon enough ;)
